Following are excerpts from e-mails sent by Class of '61ers:
Rich, I'm back in my easy chair at home, but I'm thinking about you and all the reunion gang enjoying a fine dinner and the fellowship. The reception last night was so well done, and my compliments go to all on the organizing committee. ...I picked up Chinese take-out for supper tonight. The little slip of paper in the fortune cookie said "An unexpected acquaintance will resurface". Incredible! That's exactly what happened – more than once – during my visit to Lawrence. What fun. Now I'm looking forward to the 60th! Thanks for your efforts and time on behalf of the class of '61. – Jerry Starr I would like to THANK Rich and his committee for the fabulous few days with my " old " pals from Lawrence!!! I think you ALL should have a STANDING OVATION!!! AND, YES, I'll do all I can to make it back for the next reunion!!! ... I promise!!! ... FUN, FUN, FUN, is how I shall remember our classe's 50th reunion! I shall remember it with warm, fun, loving memories!!!
